Cumberland Council Community Grants

Cumberland Council have a range of grants for the benefit of individuals, not for profits and organisations across various interests.

All grants below close on 28 February 2019. Please assess grants for full details, what timeframes the projects must be completed in (eg 12 months) and the timing of progress and acquittal reporting. 

Cumberland Council also offer a range of advisory sessions and workshops to assist your understanding of the available grants as well as support for your application.

Small Equipment Grants

Value: Up to $2,000

Funding to increase community access and participation. Suitable items include uniforms, portable cooking items, event equipment, art and music equipment, IT and resource materials.

 

Community Events Program

Value: Up to $15,000 community festivals, $10,000 for local events, and up to $1,000 venue hire.

Funding to support new and existing events, enhance community participation, utilise local council spaces and promote a sense of belonging.

 

Supporting Arts Grants

Value: Up to $5,000

Funding for individuals, entities and not for profits to produce artistic outcomes for Cumberland. Focus is given to projects that focus on the Cumberland culture, build capacity and celebrate the people, places and history of the area.

 

Infrastructure Grants

Value: Co-Funded - 50% expenses up to $20,000 

Co-funding opportunity to support minor capital works to increase community access and participation. Clear budgets and approvals must be provided with your application.  

 

Rising Star Sports Awards

Value: $750 State/National and $1,500 International

One off funding for individual local athletes selected to represent their sport at either State, National or International levels. Funds can be used for accommodation, travel and uniforms.

 

Community Participation - Large Grants Program

Value: Up to $20,000

Funding to support new and existing projects to benefit the Cumberland LGA. Log In to Smarty Grants to preview the form and the application process.
